The following art works are the portraits of flowers from my own and others gardens. Nothing gives me greater joy than pottering around in my garden (and any one elses). Flowers make me happy and that is a joy I want to share with you. These are flowers that make me smile and lift my heart.
They are created in a mix of mediums that I have developed over the years to give a vibrancy and glow to the works which are quite unique. It is created by the transparency of the coloured pencils which allow light to penetrate and then bounce back off the paint/ink below. They are then outlined in shellac ink which emphasises the forms and colours of the flowers and the ink also glows to add further dimension.
Most art works in this portfolio are available as original or prints. The prints are very high quality and give a beautiful result. The originals as always are richer and glow beautiful manner and are a better investment. I have made both available as I want my art to be as accessible as possible.

Viburnum – Original Art Work
This stunning Viburnum was growing in the Melbourne Royal Botanic Gardens, it could be 'V. plicatum var. tomentosum'. This is a great shrub whose flowers sit on top of the branches while the leaves hang below. It is like a scented snowfall on the tree. Size 62cm wide x 45cm high
